Project LIFE - My Building Is Green invited ANCV to the roundtable

On the10 July, the ANCV - Portuguese Association of Green Roofs was invited to the roundtable of the Life -My Building Is Green project, a session opened by the vice mayor of Porto, Filipe Araújo, where the association also had the opportunity to request the presence of their associates so they could present their systems or products to project coordinators.

Among the current impacts of climate change are episodes of heat waves, increasingly frequent and with direct affection by several sectors, including the civil construction sector. Within this sector, buildings for education and social services are highly vulnerable, as a consequence of both the high temperatures that are reached in their interior between the months of May and October, as well as their constructive characteristics, causing serious health problems and thermal stress for the population at risk that uses them, ie children, the elderly and people with disabilities, the project to be developed will aim to improve the conditions of these infrastructures from measures based on nature (NBS).

With the contribution of the European LIFE program, LIFE myBUILDINGisGREEN is coordinated by the Royal Botanic Garden of Madrid (CSIC), the CARTIF Technology Center and the Diputación de Badajoz (Spain) participate as partners with the Intermunicipal Community of the Alentejo Center and the municipality of Porto.
