Instituto Superior De Agronomia

With over one hundred years of existence, Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA) is an engineering school that belongs to the University of Lisbon, currently the largest in Portugal.

ISA’s Mission, as an university and institution of teaching and research in the field of Agronomic, Zootechnical, Forestry, Food, and Environmental Sciences and Engineering, as well as Landscape Architecture and Biology, is to ensure high standards of knowledge in constant updating and integrating innovative means, contributing to the sustainable development and competitiveness of the Country.

ISA is, in Portugal, the largest and most qualified graduate and postgraduate school in Agrarian Sciences, and its know-how is recognized nationally and internationally. ISA currently has about 1.600 students in 3 different cycles, a faculty with 127 members and 44 researchers, of which 161 are PdDs.

We are proud to be one of the Universities with the best scientific indicators of the Portuguese University, as a result of the work carried out by teachers, researchers, students and technicians in collaboration with several other national and international organizations and in partnership with companies and farmer associations.
